The original watercolour is part of series of flower portraits of endemic wildflowers from SW Western Australia and the northern boreal forests of Manitoba, Canada. Both are bio-diversity hotspots and are significant in terms of their wildflowers.  Isopogan formosus is endemic to Western Australia.
