Art without borders...
Bradbury’s call to action, and sage advice from art mentor Paula Silbert — that my next logical step is to pursue an international audience — spurred my trip to Venice. I enrolled in an incubator: Contemporary Art: Framework to develop your ideas with the European Cultural Academy.

Artwalk Freo 2024 is coming soon...
I’m featuring new works in ARTWALK FREO 24. A number of them are percolating ideas and experimental works. I’m really looking forward to seeing and hearing people’s reactions to them. I will be showing some of my processes and speaking about the work and the stories behind them at the event.

Exploring new formats...
As I am and interior architect as well as an artist, I can’t resist taking my art into multi-functional artwork. Currently I’m playing with some of my iconic paintings and placing them onto plates and trays. I like the idea that the prints come with a built in ‘frame’. And are light and easy to mail or pack as keepsakes for faraway friends.
Mother’s Day is coming up. Perhaps a selection of two or three would make a perfect gift.

Our upcoming adventure...
Each week is too short for all the artwork I want to make. And it’s constraining the time I have for my loved ones. Fortuitously, I’m working with longstanding friends on this endeavour. Penny, and Renee are joining Jack and I for an entertaining weekend (4+5 May 24).

2023 was a year of learning...
The Roman poet Horace coined ‘CARPE DIEM - quam minimum credula postero’ to express the idea that one should enjoy life while one can. It translates to: pluck the day, trusting as little as possible in the next one. Therefore, I’m rejoicing in my 2023 creations, and joyfully summersaulting into this year’s artistic and personal adventures.
